"Art Fights Back" is an art exhibition inspired by
the events of September 11, 2001, honoring our military,
and celebrating the spirit of American patriotism.

"Art Fights Back" debuted at Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Des Moines, Iowa on December 7, 2001 -- the 60th anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor. The event featured a breathtaking display of 30 posters, printed on 9' x 50" vinyl banners. Fund-raising efforts included silent auctions of 10 framed and signed posters, as well as the sale of reprints, limited-edition serigraphs, an exhibition catalog, and a postcard set.

Over 30 companies made "Art Fights Back" possible by contributing their time, resources, and skills to design and produce the posters, promote the event, and hold the exhibition. Proceeds from the event and sale will benefit the Armed Forces Emergency Services fund, supporting our military men and women and their families.
